I have been in Romania for the past 13 years now working as the GM for Saatchi & Saatchi (Advertising).
It has been quite an experience and very rewarding. I am married with 3 kids Radu 13, Matthew 10, Victor 8 - all of
whom are attending the British School here in Bucharest. My wife, Helene, is French (of course) basically keeps things
in order during our hectic schedule. Over the years in Romania, aside from doing my work, we have received many of our
family homes that were confiscated by the communist regime during the Ceasescu period. This has been quite a headache
as I have to deal with the lawyers, government, and corrupt officials to get things to move forward. Finally, we are
on the last one (after 9 years) and things will be cleared up soon. My family is well. My father is actually here
in Romania visiting (he is doing an interview for 60 minutes that will be aired on Halloween), my mother goes back in forth
from Scituate (that is where they live now) and France, Nick lives in Houston, John in LA and Vava in Prague (she married
a guy who is Czech/American exactly like myself Romanian/American) and they spend their time getting back their property too
-albeit a bit more ambitious than us. All are married and have 2-4 kids each
